Military Support Card Drive

Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana have an ongoing Military Support Card Collection Drive throughout the year.  It is our goal to offer school students and church groups or club members the opportunity to remember our servicemen and women on all special days during the year, including Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day and also during all major holidays.  We invite you to send names of soldiers from your school/community to include on our list.  Last year, we identified three separate groups of military who appreciate our support.  They are:

        Troops serving overseas in Iraq & Afghanistan

         Servicemen who have been injured and are recovering in military hospitals

        Elderly veterans who live in VA nursing homes

Please have students make cards or write letters for any of these groups.  Please identify which of these groups a set of cards are for.  We recommend putting the school address and teacher’s name on cards, in case a recipient cares to respond.
